Shoot day rate + editing billed separately, or one price for the finished thing? Packages are easier to sell, but every brand shoot seems to grow a second location, an extra cutdown, a vertical version… How do you str…

## [retainer: fixed hours or fixed outcomes?](https://community.pegasy.io/t/retainer-fixed-hours-or-fixed-outcomes/69)

</div>

for ongoing marketing/brand work, what are you packaging these days? fixed hours is easy to explain but clients start watching the clock. fixed outcomes sounds better until the month gets messy :sweat\_smile:

## [when do you actually use 3 pricing options?](https://community.pegasy.io/t/when-do-you-actually-use-3-pricing-options/71)

2 options feels pretty natural to me. 3 can work too but i feel like it needs a reason. when does good / better / best actually help instead of making the proposal feel salesy?

## [50/50 or 40/30/30 on bigger projects?](https://community.pegasy.io/t/50-50-or-40-30-30-on-bigger-projects/67)

</div>

for projects that run 8-12 weeks, do you still keep it 50/50? i like how simple it is but the second half can get pretty chunky. been thinking about 40/30/30 instead.

## [do you send the proposal before the pricing call?](https://community.pegasy.io/t/do-you-send-the-proposal-before-the-pricing-call/76)

sometimes clients ask ‘can you just send something over’ before we’ve really talked budget. do you send the proposal anyway or get pricing roughly aligned first?

</div>

when are you guys using Client options vs just one offer? trying not to overcomplicate a pretty simple branding project.

</div>

I use a day rate internally but almost never show it in the actual proposal. wondering if anyone does? especially for weird interactive work where scope can move around a lot.

not exact project prices necessarily, even just ‘projects start at…’ good filter or does it scare off conversations too early?
